Martek Biosciences Corporation, Columbia, MD, has entered into a 15-year, non-exclusive license and supply agreement with Kellogg, Battle Creek, MI. According to the agreement, Martek will supply the Fortune 500 consumer food products company with its docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) ingredient for use in a new line of fortified foods. The products containing Martek’s DHA will likely launch in mid-2006, depending on final product selection, food formulation and consumer testing. All products containing Martek’s ingredient will display the Martek DHA logo on all product packages, print advertisements and certain other promotional materials.
